Spacers made an AMAZINGLY noticible difference on my autox car. It's not about the width. It is about the difference in width from the front to the back of the car.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe I've read that the only difference between the C2 and C2S is the slightly wider body on the 2S whereas the C4S has the wider body but also has the turbo suspension and brakes. If this is true, it's no wonder that so many of you report noticing no difference in the handling of a C2 and C2S. My hunch is the C2 might even have a slightly higher top speed due to the narrower body. I base this on the 924S being a little faster than the 944 and on RUF using the narrow body for the Yellow Bird.

My thought exactly. Front track stays the same, right? But rear track increases by 50 cm.

10x18 ET65 (R-NB)......993.362.140.01--23.36 lb
10x18 ET40 (R-WB).....993.362.140.00--25.13 lb

Whatever you drive, think about adding 25cm spacers to the rear wheels. You don't think you'd feel that at the limit?

Also, the S cars typically came with 285 rears instead of 265s. Those two changes together should show substantially more understeer on the S, all other things equal.

If the S car has a stiffer rear bar to balance the bigger track and tires, it should grip better all around.
