Default The Console Porsche Should have made

I finally got my Christmas presents for my Porsche installed and though I would share some photos.

These Photos only reflect the parts you see, hidden away is a JL Audio 6 Channel Amp, Kenwood Keg hard drive MP3 player, Kenwood GPS Navigation system and 2 JL Audio 8 inch subs.

The sub boxes were built by Richard at Cal Soundworks and are behind the seats, they tuck in very nicley. And wow, can I say ROCK.... They are JL Audio W3's and they can make your heart skip a beat. sounds really good.

Beautiful construction. Do u like the navigation?

im now told there is a pop-up nav screen from a head unit that will clear the dash overhang. I think it is made my pioneer. Anyone know of one?

i'm waiting for a nav screen that will pop out and clear. i have been thinking about getting a phone console and modifying it for nav, but i just don't want to take up the space.
if anybody knows please fill us in.

Great job! I have a phone console and want to do something similar next year. A couple of quick questions:

1. Is the screen a touch screen? How do you like it?

2. Why did you pick the kenwood VS the Pioneer? (I think I like the Kenwood also)

3. Where did you put the other three toggle switches?

Thanks for your reply,

I would be interested to know this too... Does the Pioneer AVIC X-1/N-1 clear the overhang? I'm looking at 1din satnav systems and I've always preferred Pioneer.

Anyone?

Nice setup, Lon.
One question: What did you do away with the hazard switch and the "!" switch?

It is a Piece of Plexi , painted black on the back side which gives it a nice finish. I will be getting the Porsche emblem scribed into it, just be a nice look when done.
