Could anyone measure up the size ( length and width ) of the vin tag under the bonnet which is under the carpet, and also the distance between the pot rivets that hold it on, as I need to get one made up for my flood damaged 993 which had the vin tag removed by the insurance company.

90 mms X 25 mms (about that)

My 92 liter gas tank covers part of the tag. You will be OK with 25mms though.
