Default Console Damage from Reverse....

The PO was a little too enthusiastic about getting it in Reverse and now the upper left corner of the boot hole is a bit cracked. Can this be fixed or do I have to order a whole new console?

Are you referring to the leather or another part?

the console is pretty easy to remove. Instruction are on p-car.com (Techart handbrake DIY). I would think that you could repair the console from the inside once it is off.

You can re-cover your console...either have an upholstery shop do it or DIY. I changed mine from tan vinyl to black leather... about $10-15 worth of leather and a bit of contact cement. Hardest part was removing the old adhesive but I was just being picky about getting it all off.

If you want to get a new console you can get one from a dismantler...I think vinyl ones go for $150-200 or so.
