Default Wet weather startup squeal?

When my car has been sitting in rain and I start it up during or right after, it sounds like there is a belt squeal. It goes away right after startup. It has never done this when dry. Any ideas?

The wet weather startup makes this worse.

On my car, it was the A/C belt - the squeal would go away if the A/C was turned on (up until a week ago, when it just started chirping all the time wet or dry). Car's in the shop for new suspension + rs clutch + LWF, and a belt change as well.

Mine does it too. Always has. I change the belts regularly and have changed the bearing as well. Hasn't caused any problem for me.

Slipping of the alternator belt might be caused by incorrect belt tension(controlled by number of shims on the alternator shaft), so just replacing the belt won't get rid of the squealing.
Of course, slipping means excessive wear and very short life span for the belt.
