what are the key fiferences bettween these manuals other than OBDII, I would rather get the 96 but I would settle for the 95.

I think the 1995 will probably be fine, but there are some diff's. (I think I had a late 1995 manual for my 1996). For example, I believe it tells you to use ATF for the power steering fluid, although Porsche put Pentosin in 1996 cars and recommended the switch to that. IIRC, you should not put ATF in a system that has Pentosin. I may be wrong on this issue, but it's something to look out for. P.s. can't a dealer get you a manual?

 

From memory you can mix the later fluid with the earlier, but it is recommended only to use the later fluid for all cars now.

I just bought a new 1996 manual from Pelican Parts--it arrived yesterday--even though the website shows it NLA.
