May I run straight pipes to my muffler bypassing the cats? Robin says my check engine light will come on and that I should not do it. Any thoughts out there? Thanks in advance.

Your 98 has four Ox sensors, two on the entry, one on each bank, and two after. By removing your cat, the OBDII cannot monitor your fuel mixture. You will get a check engine light. If you are looking for more HP, like most of us are, do a muffler change. You could also install a cup flywheel. Good luck
