If I had to rank them in terms of loudness/throatiness, it would be:

RSRs
Maxflow
SuperCups

The SuperCups are incredible but a bit much for me everyday. So, I'm probably sticking with my RSRs.

Yeah my motor sound does that right now. I can't imagine with the Supercups. The Maxflo just doesn't sound that much deeper from the video (which I'm sure is misleading). The Supercups sound excellent. I read they have baffles if it's too loud.

Brandon- Just make sure you really want BIG sound if you get supercups. I just installed mine in the new C2 last night, and they are LOUD. They really drone at 2500-2800 RPM but above that they're not bad. I thought RSR's were a little tame. In a parking garage, RSR's will set off the occassional car alarm. Supercups will probably set off every one, we'll see. I think my ideal for frequent city driving would be somewhere in between RSR and Supercups. My fiancee and I were just laughing at how cool the Supercups sounded last night. It's what you think a mod'd p-car is supposed to sound like, only maybe a bit louder.

I'd agree with PedroNole that Maxflows are in between RSRs and Supercups. Trust me, while the drilled out air box doesn't make a lot of difference, the Maxflows do change things a lot.

I had the RSR's with the motorsound package and drilled air box, and they were not quite loud enough. I have a buddy w/supercups - they will hurt your ears if you are behind him at wot! I got a cat bypass and now the sound is just about perfect for me (plus I got rid of some weight). This option may not be possible for you, however, depending on where you live.

do the maxflows have ANY resonance? i know the websit says they dont, but interested in real user experiences. stock is definitely too quiet. i dont hear a big difference personally between the RSRs and the factory motorsound options, so would probably lean toward factory. the maxflows would be interesting to me if they were a bit more aggressive than RSR or motorsound, but WITHOUT resonance... (?)

Thanks for the reply Eric. I read on the site that the Supercups have a removable baffle? Are they just reffering to the turn down inserts, or an actual baffle?

The previous design had removable baffles. I've seen people wrap them in fiberglass. The current design does NOT have removable baffles, so perhaps they forgot to update the wording on their website.

The current version of the Supercups do not have a removable baffle.

Jonathan-

I had the factory motorsound then put a Ram Air Intake and put the RSRs on. Definitely a difference. I hope nobody gets me wrong here. I like my RSRs, I just wish I could flip a switch and turn them into maxflows and even supercups at times. This subject is purely (forgive me) subjective.

I wonder if we could ask Robin to do a bit louder version of the RSRs (maybe RSSs)....

Exactly! Even the Maxflows are too loud for long trips, especially if the top is down. Meanwhile, I toy with the idea of putting Supercups on for the fooling around town stuff Need about a three stage exhaust system - stealth, fun, LOUD.

Take a drive over to Sebring for the club races 2/11 through 2/13 and you should be able to see and hear any kind of a muffler set there is. It’s one of the bigger club racing events.
