Nice GTO!! Modern suspension? You must've done lots of work to it. The new GTO may be a deal at 25k - but it still doesnt look very good (IMO)

Pete & Rich,
Thanks! It's had it all. The suspension is all tubular with stiffer progressive rate springs, 1 3/8" sways front & back, poly bushings, KYBs, close ratio steering box & Auburn posi rear end. The '64s drove like crap new but this one actually drives like a modern car now & corners pretty well with the 17" radials instead of the stock 14" bias plies

It was a labor of love. I have always been partial to the first year GTOs.

I agree on the new GTO. It's a blob that performs but it will get better.

Speaking of old Muscle Cars.

There is nothing like the feel of the American POwer Houses.

I have been in love with 911's since I was a child (when the attached car was new), but the younger generation in our neighborhood seem to react more to this car when I drive it than my 993 (sign of the times???)...They are two different beasts and can't be compared.

David, 69? Ah, 69, the best year for muscle cars. They were the best looking and fastest that year. Seemed all the cars looked good in 69. Boss 302, Road Runner, Daytona, Z28, Cuda, I could go on and on.

Here is what I drove in 69, 17 years old, bought brand new, within 1 mile of taking delivery at the dealer, I got my first ticket.

'70 wasn't a bad year either. A little car known as the 454SS....
