Looks very Cool! Seams match perfectly too (better then on a factory GT2
)
Just curios who provided body parts (price?) how did they install fender flares? I assume they had to cut out fenders...

The kit is made by Fokker for FVD and is basically made for the narrow bodied 993, apparently FVD sold about 200 kits to Porsche for use on racing RS's/RSR's (according to FVD). Because the kit was made for narrow bodied cars it was a big job to make it fit, particulary the sills and where they meet the rear arches. The sills need to be made so they are removable to enable access to oil pipes etc, the existing wings front and rear are cut back. Special liners had to be fabricated to protect the wheel arches. If you compare to a factory GT2, the look is subtley different. The front arches of a GT2 are a slightly different shape and drop vertically to the sills whereas mine curve more. At the rear, the GT2 arches cover the wheels more and look slightly wider from the rear, mine are set so the stock GT2 wheels are almost flush. As you noted the GT2 has normal 993tt sills, hence the "bolted on" finish to the sill. A GT2 doesn't have a proper seal between the arches and the wing whereas if you look closly mine has a 3mm seal. The rivet recesses on the GT2 are an oblong shape whereas mine are more rounded.

I decided on a set of SO3's in stock 993tt sizes as I am a bit paranoid about tramlining on our UK roads, but am aware you can fit up to a combination of 235/40 295/35.
What sizes are you using, and what are your impressions ?

I am using 235/40/18 and 285/35/18 as what it comes with from the factory, I am thinking to to upgrade the rear tires to 295/35/18.Since my stock MXX3 still got a hard time to hook on the ground on the 1st and 2nd if I WOT it!
