I was at the dealer looking at a 993 a couple of weeks ago, and the sales guy mentioned that there are spacers available from the parts department that if installed on the 993 w/17"cup wheels, would fill it out nicely. Anyone heard of such?

bone stock 95 993 with stock 17" 205/255's
what is the max. spacer that could be used ?

Seems like a simple question but never could
get a answer?

It all depends on the wheel sizes and the body style. Personally, I don't like using spacers bigger than 5 mm. However, sometimes a situation requires one bigger than that. For instance, Porsche installed a 31 mm spacer on the rear of the Carrera S with the standard 17" wheel.
