Any good seat upgrades in original factory leather colors?
I love my original 993 leather interior (I believe it's Flamenco Red), but I don't find the seats to be terribly comfortable nor supportive. I'd like something that sits low (I could use the headroom), has bigger side bolsters, and a generous rump area. All that and matching color too...
I know that's a tall order. If anyone's sat in the new 997 Sport Seats, you'll know right away that our seats are not the best
I have Recaro Pole Positions in my track car, but I want something more ingress/egress accessible for the 993.
I see that Techart offers some stuff in original factory colored leather, but I think they're awfully pricey and not really that pretty (I've never seen them in person though) www.techart.de
I know the Cobra Misano's look prmising, but I don't think the color scheme would be a great fit.
Any other suggestions?
Will I need to find seats I like and then have them custom covered in matching leather?
Thanks!

A bit of an update:
The Cobra Misano L seats are available in Red leather, but it is the red that the Infiinit G35 has (have to take a look at the color match). These are backordered 10 weeks (all colors): http://www.subesports.com/products/?...bra&prodID=671
Gert Carnewal (www.carnewal.com) can order GT3 seats in any 993 leather color (1 year wait) along with mounts and sliders made for 993, but the price is around $3,800/pr with the weak dollar

Grant,
I doubt the GT3 seats would qualify as providing easy ingress, but I did get mine from the factory in the original chestnut brown color - with the embossed Porsche logo on the headrests to boot. They are surprisingly comfortable and simply awesome from a performance standpoint (sit low, side bolsters, good rump support, great feedback about what the car is doing). Took 8 months through Gert.

Thanks, Anir! How much lower would you say you sit compared to stock seats? Do you think they'd be pretty tight around the hips for someone with generous proportions (210 lbs, 5'11", 38" waist)?

Grant,
Honestly, I'm not sure how much lower you sit. It's a bit, but not as much as you might expect. I think there may be some old threads that discuss this.
I'm 5'10", 35" waist, and 195 lbs and they are very comfortable. However, I'd recommend that you try one out before buying.
Good luck!

I've just installed gt3 leather recaro's in my turbo. I got them second hand (although like new condition) for £1600 (about $3000 at todays rate) and I'm just about to pull them out to re-colour them Classic Grey. Wish me luck!
