Default CDR220 hard to read in the sun?

Hey all,
I was in the process of picking up a CDR220 and the seller mentioned that its hard to read the LCD readout in the sun. Does anyone have any experience with these units that would support/deny this claim?

Thanks

It is true, Becker makes a replacement front for this model that fixes the problem.

So Becker made a replacement face for the 220 specifically for the 993?

Yep, the angle is such that you have to look at it straight on, for like 50 bucks Becker will trade you out for one that has the 993 viewing angle.

C4S Fan, the220 was made for the 996 and the boxter. When installed in a 993, the angle is different and it is hard to see the digits.
Check out the becker web site and for about $50 + ur core u can geta new front face. The difference however is te readout will be black and grey rather than amber.
