After a few months of lurking I've decided to share my newbie 993 experiences... Following a PPI three months ago and several rounds of bartering with the PO (CEL, SAI and emissions issues), I drove home my first pcar - a 1996 coupe. I immediately joined Rennlist and was drawn done the slope. To date the mods include: pss9's (Gert), 2002 5-spokes (dealer), fitting and refitting front splitters (Better Bodies), split rear grill (Gert), V1 hardwire, armrest (Bird), strut brace (Weltm.), front bumper respray (over-zealous helicopter tape), rear wiper removal, varioram vacuum splitter fix (brass ring insert), etc... It has been the enthusiastic fellowship of Rennlist and the tireless advice of Gert, Viper Bob, and Steve W that has not only reinforced my purchase decision but has led to the undeniable enjoyment of such a beautiful and competent machine. Welcome! Very nice looking now with the new wheels and the other mods to personalize. Enjoy all that good weather down there but keep it out of the sun in the summertime!
