Great little T...
What a beautiful little car...I sometimes wish I could go back to simpler days when I had a 1973 911T, sunroof delete with working air conditioning. Imagine buying tires, how simple, they were all the same size 185/70/15?, and a real spare tire!
Let's see now, if I could find a buyer for my car at $?7?8#@, then I could buy a 73 911E and pocket a little change, hmmmmmmmmm.

Agreed, but that's probably cost prohibitive, most R parts just don't exist in the repro market. Or do they ? Building a decent RS clone (in terms of fun/performance, not carbon copy) is not bad: Slap a duck tail, flares and a front bumper, gut the interior... Done. Actually I think a carburated 3.0 in my car might make it a better sleeper than an RS look. But that's for later, the engine is still fine, no sense dropping it ! I want to see what it feels like to drive this on skinny tires ! ;-) See you at sebring in MArch ?
I'm going to pick it up next week - after owning a couple 356s, a 911Sc, a boxster, a 96 993 and having had some other test drives, I should be able to write up a good review of a 73 "driving feel" to motivate you ;-)

PS: martin, finding an E is almost impossible, let alone at a decent price. Very few made compared to Ts, and they're pricey for not that much more torque. Ss are out of the question for the money these days, you could buy a 993 for the same price as a concours S...
