Is it most people's experience that the stuff cause premature fading to bumperettes, window seals, and washer nozzels? If so, is there another product that seems to work well and not cause everything to get that weathered "whitish" look to the plastic pieces? Not planning on using the stuff on my interior.

One of my favorites is Einszett Rubber Care . Good overall sheen level and long lasting. No petroleum products in it. (That's what causes deterioration of the rubber and excess gassing/deposits.) Use it on tires as well.
Autoglym is also pretty nice. A bit more gloss.
This is assuming the rubber is in good shape to begin with. If not, use Forever Black. Works well, long lasting.

Check one of the detailing sites for better choices. I like 303 Aerospace Protectant as a superior choice to Amorall, but for the exterior items you described, I use Rejex just like I use on the paint.

I have always had good luck with Eagle One tire shine. It is great stuff on tires and works very well on the bumperettes. I use Klasse All in One on the window seals. As mentioned, I would check Autopia or Detailcity on the web for good info.

I have had good sucess with Mothers "Back to black", but I really like Meguires Professional vinyl/rubber cleaner protectant. I get the stuff in the beige "Pro" bottle and not the stuff packaged and sold in the big box stores. I don't think the formula is the same as the shine level is not as artificial in the "Pro" formula and looks much more natural in my opinion.

I would not use ArmolAll - cannot prove it but think can crack vinyl over prolonged use. I find Vinylex best for me as it provides good UV protection and dries to a matte finish.

Griot's has a good product and it isn't terribly expensive. My experience with ArmorAll brand stuff is that it really "over-glosses" the interior. It's great when you have a ratty old Firebird you want to bring up to sale condition, not so great for our SuperBeetles.

The real quetion is why Armour All ? It seems to be one of the least liked products in its segment so for the same $$ use something that gets a few testimonials. I like 303 also and I've tried them all.

I prefer 303 or vinylex or the NXT protectant as well as the eagle 1 tire stuff too... the only way I ever used AA when I did use it was diluted 50-50 with water and applied from a cloth.
