Has anyone purchased one of these? I'm more interested in it's use as jacking point than it's towhook feature.

David,
I have an Autometrics jacking point/tow hook installed on my 993 and have used it as jacking point several times already.
It certainly will help to make jacking the rear of the car with much ease. Since my car is lowered with the Eibach springs, in the past I always have to put the rear tires on some sort of 2x4 block in order to have enough space for the floor jack to enter. With the jacking block I no longer need to do that since the jacking block is located much closer to the rear of the car.

DJ,
No installation problem with stock CAT. Doesn't matter what mufflers you have on the car.
The tow hook can even be installed with the stock CAT in place.
The only slight concern I had was that there were not a lot of extra bolt thread for the nut to tighten to as you can see from the below picture. I tighten the nut to the proper spec. with locking washers so I don't expect to have any issues.

Danny,
I would be interested in one of these too. I live 10 mins. from Gordon's shop and would be glad to talk to him about better pricing if we had enough interest to do a group buy. I do understand from talking to Gordon previously that this item was rather expensive to design and have fabricated so I imagine that to have any chance at getting a better price quite a few people would have to want one.

Ron and guys I'm IN... Just let me know the price and where to send the check. If Robert's knock offs are equally good it maybe another possibility to explore.

The tow hook with the integrated jack point is $265. The Jack point only is $210. If 10 or more jack points with or without the tow hook are sold as part of a group buy a discount of 15% will apply. That's my understanding from talking to Adam, Gordon's son. That means $225.25 for the jack point and hook and $178.50 for the jack point only, plus shipping. Right now they have 13 left of the run of 30 they had made a couple of months ago. Of course they can have more made but I don't know exactly when they would be available.

Chris,
I did a DIY on the jacking block , there should be plenty of picture of the jacking block unit from my site from the below link.
