Autometrics towhook

Ron, thanks very much for pulling this together. I did mail my check for the jackpoint yesterday and suspect you will receive tomorrow, or Friday the latest.
Thanks again for adding me to the above order.

i tend to agree with you, here where i'm from, labour is cheap... say a fifth the US market rate.
i bet i could source someone to make a batch for super cheap. although, my only concern is the engineering specs in terms of tensile strength and unit strength.
i think a clone with slightly enhanced features may be the way to go.
any thoughts?

Could probably find some cheap labour...but I would also be concerned about the specifications....

Just curious, did the group buy go through? Also, were the owners of the MY '95 cars able to install without any problems? I saw this on a car at Summit and it looks like a nice idea, however, as Mark from Baltimore pointed out, the earlier cars have the single O2 sensor right in the middle and could prevent proper mounting.
TIA,
Sam

Kim,
Thanks for the update. That is the setup on the MY '95 cars. I assume that for Yellow Zonker its ok to remove and run headers and race cats. If you find a way to relocate, I'd be curious to know how it works out. (Autometrics was also interested, as this is the only MY to have this issue.)

As stated, because of location of O2 Sensor, the mount does not fit a 95. Seems only to work for 96 that have additional sensor in different location. I needed to return mine, and Autometrics was very accommodating.

I have this combination unit installed on my 1995 993 Class D Club Racer and recalled that it would only work with straight pipes which I now have. (LOUD!!) I spoke with Autometrics about it and they say it is only an issue with the 1995 model because of the unique positioning of the catalytic converter. All other's are OK.
It is a really nice unit to have from a towing standpoint and from a jacking point of view, you aren't using a small area of the motor. Although, I have used this many times with no problems.
