Post Kumho V700s for DE's

I am planning on buying Kumho V700s strictly for DEs ('96 993 C2) and want to know what air pressures are used with this type of tire (F&R). Also, is there a difference in tire pressure with respect to aspect ratio? For example, does a taller 50 series tire take more pressure than a 35 series tire?

The consensus with the other drivers at the Road Atlanta events that I attend is that 37 - 38 psi HOT is the best pressures for the Kumho V700 VictoRacers.

I think the early recommendation from Kumho for those tires was hot pressures in the low to mid 40s range, but more recent recommendations seem to fall in the mid to upper 30s range, as pressures in the 40s cause the tires to slide too easily. Thus, they recommend trying to set initial (cold) pressures at whatever will provide hot pressures in the 35-39 range. This is largely guesswork, and partly depends on the ambient temperature at the time, but may be in the high 20s to low 30s on a warm day, as the tires may gain as much as 10 psi (especially the rears) during a session. You might try around 30 psi cold and if you come in with hot pressures in the 40s, bleed a little out. I'm still guessing at pressures for my first session.

A higher volume (bigger) tire will take more air to reach a certain psi, but I don't think recommended psi would change with aspect ratio, at least within the usual plus 1 or plus 2 range.

I see my post time got beat out again by a quicker and shorter response.
