Arrow Sparco Seats

On an earlier thread, someone mentioned Saprco Evo seats as a good replacement for seats in the 993. My '96 is only used on the street; my Lola 89/90 serves my track purposes. I'm afraid a full comp seat might be a little impractical. Does anyone have any other suggestions or thoughts?

I think the best seat on the market for a street car is the Cobra Misano. It is very light as well as beautiful. A pair will be in my 96 as soon as the rest of the interior is done. They weight very little and the looks of the seat (in my opinion) is really really nice.....

It's impractical if you want to use the rear seats. Otherwise it's OK for street use; consider European street versions like Carrera RS use non-reclining race buckets as standard equipment.

You can see them on other pics of these seats. Im not sure about a hole in the seat cushion. For those interested go to www.subesports.com they have better pics and MUCH BETTER PICS!!!

I've seen ads for the Sparco Milano in Excellence a lot. Don't know much about them. here is some more info:

I've been wondering about the Sparco Milanos, myself. I'm eventually going to have to re-upholster my driver's seat, and instead of shelling out an estimated $500 for that, I was thinking a seat that would improve my track days, but not be so spartan that it would make my daily commute annoying. Anyone have experience with the Milano or such a "Dual purpose" seat? BTW, I find the GT3 seat hideous looking for a street car(the upper portion is gargantuan) but that's just me.

From the pictures I have seen, these seats look like they may look good in a 993.

They can be had in black leather for about $1200 per pair, can be ordered with a sub-belt hole, and retain the recline feature so you can access the back seats. They also weigh about 27 lbs. The back of them are black composite like the 993 sport seats. You can see the back here: http://www.corbeau.com/brochure/VX2000.shtml

I also have the factory sports seats which I really like on my street 993. What are the benefits you are looking for? Weight reduction? Track use?

These Cobra's do look very interesting indeed. My favorite seat would be the one Ferrari uses with the Carbon seatbacks. I suspect they are Sparco's specially made for Ferrari.Does anyone know? I would imagine they cost an arm and a leg but still they would look really good in my 993

I'm just interested in a nice replacement seat. Mine are not in bad shape, but I'd like to have an idea when the time comes. Thanks

That reminds me... I have a set of Sparco Evo seats with extra side/lumbar pads that I installed and removed from my Boxster for track days (986 Bk adapters too, but I think those brackets are useless for a 993). They have, oh, 10h of seat time, so they're practically new...

They're no good to me for the 993 as kids will need access to the backseats, so given that you guys have been very helpful to me with all my newbie question, I'm willing to "sell" them for $500 (for both, they cost me $1200) on the condition that someone picks them up (Florida) - shipping a non folding seat is a b#$#@!

If no-one is interested, no worries... I'll turn them into a simulator for my PC driving games... ;-) (anyone tried the GTR2002 mod for F1 2002? Racing GT3s and 993 GT2s at sebring is FUN, great game, and its free if you have F1 2002)
