Question OT - Anyone use Powerchip Group ECU Programming for other vehicles?

I have been looking at doing a power upgrade on another non-Porsche car and came across this: http://www.powerchipgroup.com/

I have seen these guys advertise in Road & Track. They also offer a warranty that their ECU programming will not damage the drive train (P-Car tuners take note!).

Has anyone used them?

Looks like this is an Australian Company. To test the credibility of chip tuners, I always firstly have a look at what they claim they can get from a 993tt with a chip only - this outfit claim 475hp - IMHO enough said

Guys,

Dealt with these cowboys. Stay well away. I called from NZ expressing an interest in a chip for my 993. The customer services person handed me over to the owner when I asked if they could give a written guarantee for the performance they claimed (something like 20+ hp from memory!). The owner told me because I was a New Zealander I couldnt buy the chip. I travel to Melbourne alot and said Id pick it up. He said Kiwis were bad news for his business because they had unreasonable xpectations of the power gains offered by his product and then hung up!

He was very rude during the whole conversation.

I got in touch with Steve W and he built me a chip to my fuel requirements and had it to me in NZ within a week. And it was more reasonably priced (1994 model).

Deal with these turkeys and suffer from what I have experienced!

Cheers

Thank you for the feedback. They have a distributor here in California who I spoke to yesterday. I was quite surprised that they offer a drive train warranty and a 14 day money back guarantee. I would think that would deal with the issues you mentioned, but nonetheless I think I will stay away.
