Cool car! If you perform in your car the way you stepped into the 993 world right from the start you will be quite a force on the track...

Sweet looking car...so now I have to ask...where did you find it? (I've been passively looking for a TT the last 2-3 years).

PCA meetings: GPX(where my membership is) or Orange County? If OC chapter, where are the meetings?

BTW, this was my last ride: 1984 Factory Turbo Body. Sold now, fantastic car!

Car belonged to my partner who purchased it new. He drove it for a while, then prepped it for track events (Andial motor, roll bar, suspension). Last year he picked up a 996 Turbo with X50 and this year drove for Turner Motorsports, the the 993 just sat in our warehouse under a car cover. It was my turn to upgrade and now I have the beast in my garage.

The chromes are 996 Turbo wheels, slightly different then the 993 turbo wheels and a bit wider. In person they actually look exactly right, especially with the new paint that still looks wet. I have the 993 wheels and had them re-powder-coated but they really look dull next to the new paint. I also have a set of Kinesis.

Thanks. I did. I knew about the possible weakening of the wheel and tire bead issues. Cool thing for me is I have a perfect set of original for the car twists complete with new tires. So if I have a problem or get tired of the chromes, I can make the switch.
