Chris,

They look great! I've always wondered how well the "do it yourself" powdercoat systems work - you've now inspired me to get one to do mine !!!!

Chris, well done. I did not know the process was that simple.

If I ship you my calipers, would you do them for me?

Thanks for all the infos Chris.

I'm checking if they are available in 220/50hz, or I'll by a transformer.
How much powder did you need for all four callipers? And is their red corresponding to the porsche one?

Monique, I know Techart in Stuttgart is doing that job too, and they can put a Porsche or a Techart sticker. It's probably closer for you...but if I don't remember the cost, I remember it was expensive!

Cheers

I need mine done, "Porsche" text is very yellow (heat from track use can not be the reason) and I have couple of small spots where coating has peeled off.

You have PM Chris!

I am currently checking into clear powdercoating over the finished caliper. I will let you know.

The color is just a brilliant, shiny red that Columbia offers. You do go through a fair amount of powder, as most of it ends up on the floor

Chris, I'm close to buy a basic powder gun kit. But I'll need a transformer 110/220.

Could you tell me how many "Watts" is the power of the system?
Did you have enough with 1/2lb of powder for the 4 calipers?

Thanks for help

JP, I used a little more than a half pound of powder for four calipers. I did practice on a small piece of tube steel, but that didnt take much powder at all.
