Earlier I also was looking into the TPC supercharger. I was reluctant to jump on it due to my concerns for its reliability, OBD issues and CA smog compliance.

Has anyone done some research on this?

Would like to hear some thoughts.

Group buy sounds like a good idea to me if the above issues were clarified.

My understanding was that they were going to try for CARB approval, but for whatever reason did not get it.

Do an archive search for Cecil and tpc and Supercharger.

I have been in his car a few times and it is fast. No problems for a year now...

Thumbs up

I'm interested also in a discount price. What % might we be able to lose?

Talking

Ian,

930 Motorsport installed my TPC kit a year ago. The car has done 10,000 miles since the install.

At the same time I had 9.5 compression ratio pistons installed and have since added a chargecooler and up'd the boost to 8lb.

No problems so far. The car is a pleasure to drive. Torque across the whole range.

And it all fits under the standard rear deck of my C2.

Cheers, Mark.

Mark,

I thought you'd need a turbo tail for the clearance....

Did you do any alteration to your standard rear deck?

I think the underside of the stock retractable wing has to be shaved to make it work. This allows clearance for the blower unit. The stock tail can be retained if that is what the customer wants. A fixed tail may allow for greater air flow/cooling though.
