Default Help with turn signals

I was driving home today when I noticed my turn signals didn't work at all. Everything else seems to work fine. I checked the four fuses associated with the front and rear turn signals and they seem to be fine. I can't figure out what could be the problem. Anyone have a possible idea of the next thing to check before I go to my mechanic? BTW, they worked fine this morning on the way to the office.

Alex,

WAG- Isn't there a relay or flasher module associated with the blinkers?

Maybe you can throw out the relais, if the rear blinkers work. Same applies to the steering column switch if the rear ones work.

What happens when you use the hazard switch?

Has the frequency of the rear blinkers increased?

Guess: maybe an eroded contact in the sourrounding of the front blinkers. Have you used a voltmeter to see if voltage is present at the connector of the blinkers?

Best regards,

Felix

I went over to my mechanic this morning. We turned the hazards on/off - the turn signals mysteriously work again!!! Thanks for the responses.
