Default Winter tire question

I have a set of Blizzak 225/50/17 tires left over from my M3. Will these tires fit ok on 17" cup wheel?

Thanks
Brian

Seems a bit tall.
If they don't let me know if you want a two year old set of 17" Pirelli snow tires. Here is a link to the classifieds: Wheels and Tires

What suspension do you have on the car? Is the car lowered?
IF you have the standard US ride height I think you would be fine. I guess you could have some speedo error but the 993 speedo isn't too accurate anyway. I would be more concerned with rubbing.

Can you just mount the tires and try them out?

Enter the tire size in this calculator http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html It looks to me as if the 225/50 tire will be about an inch bigger in diameter. I don't think you will have an issue.

Hope they work out. The 993 is a blast in the winter with good snow tires.
