Porterfield R4S brake pad & Dunlop Race Tire report
after installing my porterfield R4s pads i did a track day at sears point (infineon).
comparing them to the hawk performance HPS pads, the porterfields are FAR superior. The Hawk's were equally superior to the factory pads. So far i'm very very pleased with the porterfield R4S pad.
They don't seem to be overly harsh on the rotors. Very consistent brakign. No fading at all (unlike the hawks).
As for the Dunlop's they are certainly not as sticky as the pilot sport cups. They warm up faster. Wear seemed to be excellent! They are predicatable and let you know when they are at their limits. Excellent Value for the special intro tirerack pricing. But if they go up to full price, i'm buying the MPSC's.
Just my 2 cents on each topic (i guess 4 cents total - see i can add).
Cheers,
Boris
