Dallas area gathering
Hey guys, any of you in the Dallas/Fort Worth area going to Speedzone on Thursday (17th) for the PCA social? Might be a good place for some of us to meet. I’ll probably be there a little late, but the festivities start at around 6:30PM.
Below is a gratuitous pic of this weekend’s activity.

Michael, bring Brad, you two are definitely invited. It sounds like Carlo has a volleyball game and can’t make it. May is going to be busy for me, so I’m not sure I’ll be able to do any events. We are talking about getting a couple (at least 10) of guys and renting the Hallett track for one day. Are you the passenger in Carlo’s car behind me?
See you there Ben. So it looks like you are getting into time trials. Did you enjoy the school that much? It’s usually the opposite, those that do DE hate the limited track time of TT’s. You do get to learn to toss your car without consequence. Like I said above, next month is going to be hectic. I just don’t see any time for me to take the any weekend for the track.
Chris, maybe next time. I’ll definitely let you know about lunch. So what are the initials of the place you are going to?

George,
Are you doing Hallet during the week or weekend?
If I can make it I'd love to go. Never driven there yet.
TT's are ok - I like them because they are cheap, 1 day, and they help me 'experiment' in a safer environment. Someday I'll be up there in your run group.....

George,
Man, they ran my butt off Sunday afternoon in White & Red! I guess I became the e ticket ride of choice Brave souls! Also spent some time instructing Earhart in his spec Miata. That was a hoot! Who needs brakes Anyway, I would be in for the Hallett track rental if it's during the week. What did you guys have in mind? I really need to get some time up there before the Fall CR. Who's in so far?

George:
Yep, that was me imposing a 215lb weight penalty to Carlo's Turbo (if you note, his Turbo remained flat through that corner).
Chip:
I'm planning on driving Sat and hanging out on Sun. From what I gather, a few 300 guys will be there. I might be the only 350.
The Z Club of Texas will have a Hallett DE on September 7. Any and all are welcome. If I'm not mistaken, the Miata club will have theirs on September 6. If pricing is the same as last year, expect it to cost around $95 (an additional $75 gets you in for the whole weekend). That oughta be a fun weekend. I'll keep you guys posted when the event opens up.
Michael.

The Hallett trip in its preliminary stage. We are talking about going after the really hot days of summer, probably over the weekend. So, August and September look promising. Bart, Bob E, Bruce, Carlo and Rob are some of the P car drivers that are interested. There are also a couple of BMW drivers interested. It’s hard to get everyone organized in a short period of time.
The Z club deal looks good schedule wise, but I’m not sure if some of the guys want to share the track.
