Frank 993 C4S

Does anybody know where the antenna amplifier is located and what it's part number is for a '96 993? Problem is a bad radio reception on my car and I have traced the problem to a potentially bad amplifier. Already checked the antenna to winshield conection and the fuse on the amp cable as well. I also searched all the rennlist archives for this and could not find a definite answer. Thanks for your help!

The transmitter as I remember is under the dash cover under the windshield on the passenger side. I think you can see the wires leading down from the windshield; the amplifier is below them.
