Smile Workshop Manuals: Written not CD

I have heard that Porsche will be releasing for sale on July 7th the written version of the 8 volume set for the 993. Hope that's accurate. If you want a set you might want to contact a source that sells them when they are available.

Thanks Ron

My set was to be a Christmas Gift -- been back-ordered since then.

(Don't tell Calvo I don't have one yet. )

Is there a problem with the CD version? I've been thinking about investing in a CD as it's a lot less bucks. Any coments guys?

Check the archives on this one... You should get the written ones. they are much more useful than the CD versions.

With new printed manuals currently not available, the CD may be your only option.

Unfortunately, the scans on the CD were not done with a great deal of thought. Looks like some sheets didn't pull through the sheet feeder right, and a few are missing or messed up. The specific area I noticed this covered the Litronic headlights, there may be others.

The wiring diagrams are a bit hard to read because of excess JPEG compression - biggest problem is the wire color notation, though you can make a good guess.
