Post A few pics... '98 C2S / '03 X5 4.4

It was finally 70 degrees and sunny here in upstate NY, so I took the opportunity to wash the salt off my cars (not my wife's minivan though, and that's all I've heard about today). I figured I'd take a few pics before they got dirtied up again... Modem users beware.. there's 1MB of pics on the page - it takes about 4 minutes to download @ 28.8. And before anyone makes fun of me, YES the Christmas lights are still up. This was the first weekend that we didn't have snow in front of the house AND it wasn't raining. The lights come down tomorrow.. LOL.

Do You have this magic coat on the plates what makes numbers unreadable? To fool speed-trap cameras? Seen in junk-e-mail-campaigns and small ad-s in tha last part car of mags

nice cars indeed.

Thanks for posting pics which include a slice of your personal life: your home and surroundings. I really enjoy pics like that. It makes it all more personal to me, this Rennlist experience.

Nice machines! So, did you ever find those 18" wheels???

1) License plates were my first mod.. it was easy.. all I had to do was smudge the camera lens.. that works, right?

2) I just spent a couple of bux on the 993 3 weeks ago.. I think it'll be at least another month before I get the money to lower the thing 3mm. I know.. I should have waited until I had enough money for both the 993 AND the springs.

3) I love pics that show the cars in their natural habitat so I had to take a set myself...

4) I'm kind of growing attached to the 17" cups. I wish they were 18" wheels though... I'd like the extra rubber. I've barely learned to drive the thing and I'm already sliding it around the corners on these 17's. I can only imagine that the 18's would give a bit firmer and grippier ride.

5) 70 degrees is a heat wave! I was rolling around with the windows open, sunroof back and radio blaring!

I do think I'm going to have to bring the car into the dealer though.. the driver's side window is making a creaking sound when I open and close it and the sunroof does something similar. I'm guessing the actuators or motors are going. Hopefully it's covered under the pre-owned warranty...

I am in trouble with the wife though. She got her Town & Country a year ago and I never made room in the garage for it (2 car garage - one spot is clear for my car). Since I got the 993, we're purchasing a shed so we can clear the other spot so I can park both of my cars in it. Now all I hear about is my selfishness... LOL!

After buying my C2S that sat near 4x4 height, I had to use photoshop and alter my pictures. The more times i lowered it on the computer, the more i knew it had to be done in reality!! here is something for you to look at while you await the inevitable.
