Dan, I, too, feel your pain. This weekend my car was unscathed in the DE, but some a@@wipe parked about 2 inches into my front bumper in the motel parking lot! Luckily, it popped out the next day.
Part of the problem is that in today's world you can't legally cull such people from the gene pool.

Just a random act of vandalism which is what makes it so unfathomable for me. Oh well, the door repaint estimate is $537 - and it was a perfect door to start with. At least the a**hole could have picked on my stone chipped hood.

I'll be at the F1. I also just sent in my registration for the MORPCA DE at Putnam July 26 & 27. Any interest?

Dan,

Just a thought before you get that door repainted... how is your door stop on that side? From what I've read, this is a pretty common failure mode, so it may be worth looking into. Just a thought.

Thanks for the idea. However, it's fine. There doesn't seem to be any way to parlay this incident into anything good. No door dings, no other damage, no incremental savings in doing other paint/body work. Just $500 pissed away. Oh ... wait, ... I am stimulating the economy, ... so that's the silver lining <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="frown.gif" />
