I did a quick writeup yesterday and PM'd it to a member. I will try to get it back (the PM mechanism doesn't keep a copy), at which time I will update it and post it.

Dave-

PM does keep a copy of everything you send. Check in your "sent items" folder. The message you sent should be there.

Default Reduce temp by higher engine/fan speed

Several things may reduce temperature in slow or stop and go traffic:

1. Extend your spoiler manually using the console switch (if you stop it goes down and doesn't come up again until you reach 45 mph).

2. Run in a lower gear/higher RPM. The engine fan is linked to the crankshaft and blows faster at high RPM. I have noticed that this can lower the temps significantly (one "hour" on the temp. guage or a bit more).

3. You can remove the engine undertray, but this increases noise. Also, I recall that one Rennlister punched a hole in his engine case with a rock that might well have been stopped by the engine tray.

Never heard that. That must have been one hell of a hit to puncture the engine case.

See post #3 here - not a puncture by any means, but still a damage
