Default Best source for Bilstein HD's and M030 springs?

Anyone shopped it lately?

Is Gert still the best deal these days?

He is, if you want the HDs with the extra threads on the fronts. AFAIK, he is the only person that carries these.

Good luck

Hey Craig,

That was quick.. Are you going to "Improved" already?

When I was checking out the PSS9s, I looked at the HD/M030 combo for my C4S. For some reason the price is lower at Gerts than the 2wd 993s. I just checked Gert's website and the combo for your car is $1993 and change (with today's exchange).

I'll give you a call soon.

Rich, I believe the price is lower, like $1500 or so. The other price includes sways, front and rear. The PSS9 prices are only a little bit more than $2000 at Gert's.

Father of 3,

You are right. The price I quoted did included the M030 swaybars. Thanks.

I'll also add.... I still find it AMAZING that Gert gets his stuff from Belgium to the US in a couple of days. And the packing is an "art form" to Gert . Having ordered from Gert a number of times (along with Steve W. and Paragon) - I will stand behind any of their delivery times, their ability to ship complete orders and "customer support".... Well - enough said..

John,

I, too, was amazed how fast my PSS9s got here from Gert's shop. I placed my order last Friday night and they arrived yesterday.

Rich, how do you like your allroad? I was thinking of getting one of those for a while? Do you intend to keep the car long term or replace around warranty expiration?

Hey Craig,

I shopped the HDs and sway bars and ended up at Gerts. He is very dependable and the products get here quick. Just understand you will get a bill from Fed Ex for the duty/paperwork, I think Gert said about 2-3%.

Hey guys,

Is Gert "www.carnewal-europe.com"? If so I am still looking for the best combination of street and track. It is for a Carrera S that lives downtown Chi-town and tracks 5-7 times a year. I leaning strongly toward Bilstein HD with the European M030 springs. I think PSS9s are too much. Any other opinions?

agdamis,

That website is Gert. Changing to the Euro M030 springs and Bilstein HD's will lower your car about 7/8" at all corners and provide an excellent ride for city driving. Perfect combo of cosmetics and function, IMO. You will be happy with the results if you go this route.

Mike,

Thank you very much for your help. Is that what you are running? Do I need the stabilizer bars as well?

agdamis,

Yes, I had this set-up installed a year ago. Purchased from Gert. I kept the stock stabilizer bars - I am not a suspension expert, nor do I track the car, so I can't advise if you should change these or not. Your driving is different than mine, as far as track use is concerned.

This is a link to photos of my car showing ride height, etc. I was very concerned about ride quality and was surprised at the improvement over my stock suspension with 25k worth or use.

https://rennlist.com/forums/993-forum/118985-winter-project-photos.html

BTW, Gert's front protection bar IS A MUST. You'd be surprised at the nose scrapes that are possible with 7/8" less ground clearance. Saved me twice so far.

Good luck with your project.
