This is the wheel on my 911. I love it. These non airbag wheels look great on the older cars. I would not put these or any non airbag wheel on my 993. Safety is the issue.
I vote for #2. Clean lines.

Default Yet, another data point

I installed a TechArt custom 365mm on my TT in the same fashion as the last 340mm I had on my RS replica.

Wheel, hub and airbag are leather. Yellow stiching is coostum..

I'd choose the airbag wheel for saftey. I went with a thick-spoked 996 Carbon Fiber wheel and I love it.

First off, I apologize in advance if this is deemed off topic; however, I believe the contributors on this forum to be quite knowledgeable. I am enamored with the Porsche Motorsports wheel referenced earlier in this thread and am considering it on my 911 Club Sport. I contacted Gert and he was unable to indicate whether it would fit on my car. Would anyone know whether it would fit as a bolt on in my car? Thanks.

Jim that wheel looks great! Does it come with red stiching? Where did you get it?

Randy:

Yes, it does. My last wheel, the Techart 340mm had red stitching. It was very similar to Danny's (DJF1). Actually, Danny deserves the credit fot turning me onto the Techart steering wheels...another Rennlist gem !

Thanks Jim.

What is the size of a stock 993 wheel? Where did you find that one?

I'm no NHTSA expert, but after spending a year in trauma surgery, I'd definitely rather have an airbag than not. However, I will admit that the 993 airbag propellant is pretty noxious stuff. I had the pleasure of tasting some at RA last year after wrecking in the Kink. But, the airbag did its duty and has been replaced with a new one.

Having said that, I like the look of #1 the best if the decision is to nix the airbag.
