Thumbs up Another Sunday well spent (+ pics)

Winter is fast approaching, so what better to do on a sunny Sunday than to call every local Porsche owner I know (there are only 5) and organise a spontaneous 'end of season' drive. Luckily 3 were willing and able (a 993 with 320hp, a 944 Turbo Cup car, and a 911 Turbo).

We hit the same roads which I posted about recently, near Häckaberga Castle. Stunning scenery dressed in autumn colours. It wasn't so sunny when we got there so I will have to go back at the next opportunity just to take some proper photos.

As we all sat on the highway turn off for the forest road, a police van came out of the road (almost certainly having just taken down their speed trap). The looks on their faces when they saw four Porsches lining up to start the 'run'!

A great way to spend a day. I hope some of you did the same

p.s. a Lotus which was also enjoying the road joined us for 20 minutes or so

Great afternoon indeed!

Thanks for sharing Graham.
I got lost in the mud with my mountain bike this afternoon... and my wife didn't really appreciate

Still waiting for my wheel alignment!

Hoi Graham,

I note from one of the pics that a Lotus Elize was in the group. Was it at the back of the pack for photo reasons??

They chose that position themselves, out of respect.

Really nice pics. The Southern California group got together for a three hour romp through the local canyons today as well. A smallish group, only about ten cars. Lucky for us, there is no such thing as end-of-season as we have no seasons in this part of the world. Here's to Sunday!

Nice, Graham. Thanks for sharing. Do you drive in winter up there?

Not when there's ice/snow. But if the roads dry off, then I like to take her out just for the exercise

Anders, as it should be. That Lotus is a nice car though and I will bet it is some kinda quick.

Well, it ways about half that of a 993.. I drove one of the 120 hp ones and it was very nice but needed more power to be fun in a straight line.
