Getting the rear seat belts was easy. removed the rear panel (held by 4 Philips screws) and removed the seat belts (held by 17mm bolt)s.
How do I remove the seat backs?

Quick question related to this thread...
Anyone know if the "seat delete" work with a DAS bolt in Roll bar? I guess the real question is are the rear set belt mounting spots still available with the delete kit in place?

Thanks guys;
I kind of figured I would have to cut a bit... I guess I was more concerned that the unit might need the belt mounting points to attach itself.

has anyone removed the seats & simply re-carpeted???
was curious what kind of weight savings this might be as (i think) the 'delete kit' still weighs quite a bit... & is made of what? (wood?)... seems like i heard this somewhere along the threads.
as always... thx for input.
cheers.

wow! you are the bomb! bet it sounds great too! -- weird, thought there would be even more of a weight savings than that (still pretty damn good)

Thank you for the information, I have been trying to get my hands on this as well, I should have thought of the Director of parts earlier
Is it bare metal under the rear deck and seat-back carpet or do you have the stock leather piece underneath and the carpet on top? I have all the rear stripped to the metal, and wondering how to go about it.
Thank you.

I've also removed all the stuff back there, problem is, I haven't re-carpeted everything back yet so it's bare metal and some wires...
Thanks to the upholstery link by Kim, maybe finally I can get some carpet back there.

I would not put the delete kit in if you're thinking of weight savings.

Sorry for the OT, but while it is stripped, I discovered two holes in the back, large enough to slip through them Moton canisters, it is where the wiring harness goes from the engine through the cabin. No more holes to drill

Kim,
I will post pics as soon as I go to the workshop tomorrow. They were on the sides, almost at the top of the back metal sheet, covered with rubber. You will have to disconnect the wiring harness to slip it out of the hole for better fit.
I spoke to Jerome in the Netherlands, the owner of Moton and he discouraged me from disconnecting the hoses even if I am knowledgeable (not that I am!). I know some people have done it, but that's what he said.
Will report back.
