Well it's done. I guess you either love it or hate it. Next mods are silver "Carrera" side script and lower to RS height.

After doing quite a lot of research on the lift and down force for the 993, I was wondering what the rear wing provides as far as down force? Does your car have something up front, looks like maybe the RSCS splitter?
Let me know....

Pretty cool Especially the rear angle view)!
Mine is still in the bag... I can only take it to the paint shop after I get back from my trip...
Kary,
Ducktail will have same lift reducing effect as stock electric wing has, so you don't need to do anything in front. I'll put RS splitter at the same time when I install my ductail, which means I should have little too much downforce in front but I don't think it's so much that it would mean a lot.

For those of you that like the wing and are interested, can I draw your attention to this...link.
And, whilst racing and surfing are my final activities in life until surgery gets me back to normal, now I need to sell the wing just to cover my weekend of on track damages. Caused by someone else!! How would you like a knucklehead driving in front of you in his 2002 C4, your up his clacker in the last turn to make the pass down the straight. He gets the blue flag but he doesn't wave you by because he can drag race you. You catch him at turn 1 doing oh, say 100+ mph and he starts to sping to the inside of the turn. Showering you with rocks and boulders because he's still got his foot planted to the floor like an idiot. I don't mean spraying across the track, I'm talking 3D coming at you!! I managed to avoid him but didn't get off free. I sustained a cracked windshield, broken headlight, broken fog lamp (Euro) and broken side lamp cover (Euro clear). Not to mention the stone chips from hell on my hood, guards and mirrors. Of course the GT2 front splitter is trashed, holes in it where rocks lodged themselves, cracks where it is seperating.... but I diverse and bitch and moan. That's racing! Turns out, he should have been in the student class with an instructor! Did he offer a dime for my repairs? NO!!! Yes racing is racing but come on, doesn't anyone feel guilty and partly responsible if they cause damage like I would?
Sorry, I'm just very pissed!!
Later.

Yeah, maybe 993 drivers are more considerate than 996 drivers? Just kidding. It was a hairy moment but good at the same time. I think I did pretty well to avoid hitting him as he started spinning and learnt from it (the good part). Considering at that speed I was pretty much committed to making the turn too!!
Anyway, how's those ducktails on the 993's, pretty cool huh!!!
Cheers,
Dylan.

Race Car
JC,
Very nice! I always liked the ducktail spoiler. Looks great on a narrowbody.
FF,
Looking forward to seeing your car with the ducktail...
Dylan,
Wish you a speedy recovery...
