If you must change:

New Viper
Aston Martin DB9 -- stunning!
Morgan Plus 8, and keep the Turbo

Dr. - what about a Diablo Roadster or a Ferrari 360 Spyder?

Cut your top off!

Seriously, I also long for a convertible some times. Been thinking about getting a 996 cab for the wife so I can drive it every once in a while.

Doctor, you need to be careful as you probably are offending quite a few folks with your negative comments about other cars ( including your comment about a 993 cab without its boot on) Also, there are many of us lawyers and doctors on the site who do not feel the need to use DR or ESQ in our names to identify us on a chat site. Not trying to start a flame session, you just have rubbed me the wrong way with this thread.

Possible?
I believe there were about 5 special built 993TT cabs done for one of the VW/Porsche dealerships in Munich. Don't exactly recall the name.

How about the "final" mod where you chop the top off the TT and install a Speedster windshield, for a sleek look with a sexy TT rear hip section !!!! Wind in your hair and sun glinting off all the carbon fiber goodies!!!

I Dare ya, I DARE YA!!!!!!

Coleman.

Doc, how about this one? The text says there only 12 of these built and I doubt any of them ever made it to the U.S:

"...an immaculate twisting rigidity..." don't take the English language version to serious.

I do not think there has ever been a 993 TT Cab. The MY95 993 Turbo Cabs had a "single KKK Turbo, four pipe exhaust system, 355 HP". The TT motor was not available until MY96.

DKG - yours could be the first.

Addison. You can swap cars with me anytime you want! Though I may not want to give your car back.

Seems the new series Viper would meet your requirements. Unlike the C6 there are used ones available so you may be able to make a good deal on a nice example.

A 289 cobra has 244 h.p.! Less than a 993 NA. Why consider that if you think the 993 NA has too little hp??

You mean a 427 Cobra (425 hp) or a 453 Cobra (580 hp) surely.

Porsche has not offically made a Turbo Cab in the 993 or 964 series. There was the America Roadster in 1992 / 1993 widebody but no turbo. With that said, Beverly Hills Porsche took 4 or 5 1998 993 "S"s and made them into widebodied cabs and sold them as new. If you search, you can find them.
