If you do this, you should also install big reds...

Dr.

I'd keep th eturbo and add a super-charged Miata. I had one and it's a fun ride. The shifter is more fun than my RUF's. The cornering is comparable, but the power is RUF hands down. In fact, the next generation Miata could come with an electric hrad top, ala the SL, and SLK. You can get it in a Mazdaspeed version. Do a little mod to the header/exhaust and you're in 10#/hp territory. That's the car I'm waiting to see.

Unlike you, I'm short, and fits the original Miata well. The next gen. Miata will be a little larger as well.

Just a thought.

another suggestion ken,
get a mid80s 911 targa and keep the TT - they are cheap 20k, the are light and are probably more fun to drive to just tool around on a sunny day. I have several friends in CT who have 993TT or 996TT and have gotten an 80s 911 targa or cab for suburban driving and errands. Everyone has said the older cars are more involving, more fun at slower speeds, you feel the car work, and lighter, etc. Not sure on the conditions out west, but in the nyc area, it is very tough to make the TT feel like it is working.

sorry,i posted the question on the wrong board, ment to put on 993 turbo board. hope didnt offend any one w/NA cars or bootless cabs

also if i knew how to change my user name i would, any tips how to do that please.

and thanks for the good ideas, regarding Italian cars they are a little to big for my likes, MBZ are mostly auto's and i prefer a stick

the 289 cobra was an idea that came to mind after my friend took me for a ride in his. i liked the understated look of it w/o the side pipes, scoop and roll bar. also took turns pretty good and had a great smal block rumble

just had a week moment with our oregon indian summer and wanting to do the open top thing.

love my car, and thanks for all the help in getting it to where it is today
