Pin - do you have any personal experience with either of these installers? I just had ROW bumper covers installed and would like to keep them looking new.
A clear bra is a permanently affixed clear plastic bra - if done correctly it is basically invisible.

Hi Bill,
I don't have any experience with either one of them.
Some people told me that Detailwerks didn't do a really good job in installing Stongard on their cars.
I haven't heard anything from others yet regarding Precision Car Care.

Star-Shield in Arcadia. Make sure you ask Carl to do the installation. They usually block off certain weekends to work on Porsches only.

Bill: I bought the invinca-shief stuff recently (I arrived a couple days ago). I'll probably try installing it on the 5th (out of town this weekend). Let me know if you want to stop by and supervise the install or see the final product.

I was thinking about a bra like the one available through the Rennlist Store (Sun Coast?). Clear seems like a great idea. How does the cost and durability compair?

It cost me $325 for parts and installation. This includes custom cut due to the euro bumper and I had the entire splitter covered. As far as durability, they're all using the same kind of material from 3M. It all comes down to the installer.
The clear bra saved my bumper and splitter from flying objects on the freeway such as 2x4 wood, airbox, and watercooler. It ripped the film but did not damage the bumper so when time permits, I'd like to replace the film again.
If you're paying above $400, you're paying too much. I've heard others paying well over $1G which is ridiculous.
