Default New thread-- two Supercup exhaust VIDEOS. 7-9 MB, awesome.

Ok, the old thread was all cluttered with babbling and confusion, so I started a new one. Before I bought supercups, I was pining for a video to know what they sounded like. Let me tell you, the air-cooled 3.6 flat six is one of the most beautiful vehicles I have ever heard with these pipes. I am finally done tooling with these unprofessional clips (taken with my Canon Powershot digital camera!), so I have two videos of my 993 with first generation supercups (removable baffles removed). Let me know what you think and if there are any issues. It will be much quicker to right click and save-as, most likely.

Clip 1: http://members.rennlist.com/red/Supercupscompressed.mp4

Redline 1-2, ~5500 RPM or so 2-3, shifting easy. I make a big circle--when I slow down, I am making a U-turn about 250 yards away, passing on the other side of the median (audible with the volume up), then making another U-turn about 100 yards in the other direction.

Clip 2: http://members.rennlist.com/red/Supercups2.MPG

Quick 6000 RPM burst at the beginning, pass at around 3300 RPM, turn around about 100 yards up the road, come back and pass around 4000-4500, turn around about 175 yards down the road, come back, idle, small blip, then blip to just 3200.

Enjoy!

Thanks, Graham. I pick and choose my mods since I'm currently on a skimpy car fund, but I am pretty happy with how it looks for the time being. Let me tell ya, there are so many things that I dream of doing to her. So I have a lot to look forward to in my (hopefully) years of ownership to come!

I like the second better also. I didn't like my original second video, so I went outside a few hours ago and made the second one trying to get some sounds closer to the camera instead of on the main road.

I see that this thread is from last month, but damn, that exhaust sounds really nice.

Yeah, it didn't get too many hits. Thanks for bringing it back to the top! I may sell the pipes soon... I just gutted my stock mufflers so I may use them and sell the supercups for DE money. I really do love them though; however, money is tight right now!
