Post SoCal DE This Weekend, the 21 and 22

PCA San Diego is holding a 2 day DE/Time Trial this weekend at Willow Springs International Raceway in Roasmond, CA. This is the 2.5 mile track, the "Fastest Road in the West."

POC is holding a 2 day DE at the Streets of Willow, the 1.3 mile track next door.

Either way you can't go wrong. I am going to run with PCA at Big Willow...hope to see some Rennlisters there!

Oh come on guys, that's not fair!! You get to play in the big sand box. I'm running the Short Track Series for points (one series only for the first year) so I'm stuck in the little sand box. Do a drive by (and vice versa). I'm the Midnight blue 993 with blackened out wheels and Supercup setup. You see me driving on the wrong side of the track (I'm Australian if you don't get that joke)!

Actually I need some grease monkey's to help with setup, will you guys be busy? I just hate getting under that car when it's soooo damn hot. Here's a question (no hijaking intended). There was a guy there last time that had a thin vest (type jacket, like a fisherman's jacket) that had pockets for him to slip ice blocks into. Anybody seen these and know where to get them?

Cheers,
Dylan.

You think you will be confused. I have a RHD car (Yellow Radical). Your question about the vest - Here is one source:
Cool Vest
Better than ice. Ice is too cold and makes your body reduce it's cooling. These things use a material that freezes at ~60 deg F.

Ahh, I think you need some pointers then. I have many years experience in RHD so my hands up to help!! Don't take it lightly (can you tell I'm trying to be serious here?), it's a whole new ball game. Think about it, swapping from your right hand gear changing to left. Are you that co-ordinated? Hmmmm, best you let me jump in and help you out!!

Cheers,
Dylan.

I'll be at Big Willow. Was just at Discount Tire and and Gerry said he's sold 20 sets of Kumhos this week. I decided to burn up my S03's and I'm running in White group anyway. Funny, of the four 993's on Jack's list, three are white...must be because we like to run Willow in the summer.

I'm not very coordinated so I am sure I need help. So you are telling me that stick in the middle shifts the gears. No wonder I haven't been able to find the shifter on the right. Also explains all those high revs.

Willow forecast is 88-92 for the three day's highs. For Willow, that means bring your winter gear.

Really!!! Phew, that would be a relief if it's true? How reliable is Willow (area) meeting expected temps? I cooked my butt of last time out there!!

I'll be there in the #164 black turbo at the Hartman garage. If the forcast is for 90 degrees, it will be a 100.

Martin,

I didn't know you or Mark were going to be at the track on Friday, so I will have your #'s with Mark's on Saturday am. Come on over to the Streets and see me. (The new car will be there, too. It's gorgeous!)

Lots of cars to finish for Willow and Fontana, if you need anything else CALL don't e-mail!
