Well I hate to join discussions like this, but...I had someone offer me $45K for my 6-spd 90K Polar Silver '95 with RS clutch, Bilstein M030 shocks & MO30 Sway-bars, Euro-turbo bumper, new brakes, all books & records...just last week. Now granted, the guy has been after my car for months -- *and* it's exactly what he's looking for with no stories, so your mileage may vary. I've finally got the perfect car for me, so I'm not selling. Just a data point.

IMO, your '95 Coupe with 45K, if it's VERY nice, could bring up to $35K to the right buyer. Obviously, this wouldn't be the bargain that some 'listers have found for themselves, but I think it's attainable if the condition warrants it. You certainly don't have to sell it at a bargain price.

Is it an early- or late-build '95? Since the '95 model year was so long -- 19 months of production -- I think this can be a factor in its value -- late '95s are more than a year newer than early '95s. There are '96 model year Turbos and Targas that are actually older cars than some late-build '95s, even though they are a "later" year.

WOW! $45K for a 95' with 90K miles?! Hell, I'd hate to part with mine with many upgrades, impeccable condition, and 53K miles but for that money, please PM me and I'll sell mine to your friend. Really.

Wow - thanks Speedraser for that insightful reply. I never knew that some early 96 cars were actually older than some late model 95 cars. That's an amazing fact unto itself! You'd rarely find THAT situation in the general car market. Learn something new every day.

In late 80's-early 90's car bubble, many dealers hyped the market, and many enthusiasts got burned.
The 89 Speedster, and even after the bubble, the 94 Speedster were speculated as the last of the Speedster's, and the dealers predicted that the price will continue to go up. The last rear wheel drive Turbo 964's also met the same speculation. Ferrari's, Lambo, and etc. even did worse after the burst. So, while it is nice to see the value of our cars hold up, I would be careful unless you got money to burn or the car is really special and the price doesn't matter.

I'm expecting a baby in December. I never want to let this car go. It's in outstanding conditions and for what you get it's a very fair price. I'm looking in to Cayene S or BMW X5 to accomodate a baby along with stroller etc. My wife says the 993 has to go (after a long fight, several nights on the sofa) she won.

I think at that price with those miles, you will never let that car go. Those are great upgrades and something I'd love to have, but I think you're being optomistic about what aftermarket modifications will recoup for you.

it will be fun to see the 993's weather the depreciation storm... n.a. & tt's alike. i'm a firm believer well taken care of examples will continue to hold steady.

bottom line, i'm happy w/ mine (like most others.... not the reason i purchased)

(imho) i still find the 993 twin turbos to be far more attractive & more of a real, more raw 'sportscar' than later h2-0-cooler models (997 incl!)... the exception being the more raw 'gt-3' perfomance... but it still can't compete w/ the looks of the type 993!!!..... (immho)
