Yeah, I heard the same thing... Didn't really know, but it was not something you wanted to get on you hands either way...

In cases with 964s and earlier, it does help as their are more clutches and the fluid does seem to break down over time.. With 993s since their are few clutches anyway, the standard Mobil 1 seems more than adequate...

No?
Undoubtedly new synchros would solve the problem, but for the cost involved, I'd rather shift slow until the tranny warms up.
