Post fan belt light

Hi everyone:
Before I begin let me say that I checked the archives before I posted but none really addressed my problem. My fan belt sensor was begining to squeak so instead of going for the fix as described by Viken I decided to install a new sensor purchased at local P dealership. Since I installed the new part every time I am at wide open throttle the light comes on momentarily and then goes off. Normal driving no light, only WOT. If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate your response.
Thanks for your time
Tony

Loose fanbelt? If you revving the car up under full power maybe you are pulling the slack out of the fanbelt. Of course your beld has to be really loose for this to happen...have you checked the tension?

Thanks for the quick reply Mike. I checked the belts and all are tight. The electrical plug that attaches to the unit appears to be attached but wiggles. I,m going to take it off and see if I can tighten it some how.
Thanks
Tony
