Default Tailpipe tips

Are the tailpipe tips stainless steel? If so, what is a good method to polish them? Maybe drop them off at the local plating shop and let them do it?

Bobby,

The tips are stainless steel. A polishing shop can do it or you can elect to polish them on your own. Try a search as there are lots of threads on this subject.

BobbyT...as stated above the tips are stainless. I took mine to a professional shop and had them polished and they look better than the best chrome. Easy to keep looking good with a little metal polish each time you wash...takes 5 minutes.

Unless you are real finicky, just get some metal polish from Pep Boys and get under the car and polish the heck out of them.

Bobby

I use Wenol (Ultrasoft) for all my SS, Chrome and aluminum stuff. The best IMHO. Try http://www.properautocare.com/metalpolish.html
