I am trying to get a copy of what has been described to me as an excellent tech overview and information booklet on the 993, "Porsche Service Information Technik part number WKD 498 621."
Both my local dealer and My Porsche list it as NLA. Any ideas on other sources to obtain this?
TIA for any suggestions.

Thanks Jim for the reply. All I can find at Performance, though, are the little spec books.
I have one of those for early 911s and it is mostly just wear specs and torque values. I *think* the book I am after is different. It is described on the My Porsche website as follows (with some editing for brevity):
These books provide specific information...and are issued prior to the material being issued in the Workshop Manuals. A great variety of information is available...covering:
*mechanical changes for each year/model;
*basic theory of operation of sub-systems;
*wiring and current flow diagrams;
*body and trim details each year/model;
*how-to-do's such as welding, Cabriolet top
adjustments etc.

not much help here, but, this is what one for a Boxster looks like: auction for technical book of course it is already up to almost twice what they sold for originally ($9.98) . Maybe an email to this fellow ; he always has tons of Porsche stuff for auction. Although he doesn't like to have his name given out here for some reason. good luck, Max >,oh, not my auction, not affiliated, etc. etc.

Thanks Max! One of your suggestions worked out. Book should be on its way to me soon.
