DME relay question
Based on David Edward's post, I checked position 53 in the fuse box today. My DME relay is apparently the updated #993.615.227.00 (car's build date is 6/97), instead of the 944 part.
My question: are these updated relays still prone to failure, i.e. should I carry a spare?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Anir,
Absolutely, or a jumper wire at a minimum.
I don't know if there is a difference between the two part numbers or not.
Read my earlier post. This was a problem I encountered this weekend. Thankfully it wasn't on the grid before the race.

Purchased the 993.615.227.00 DME relay from Phil Anderson at Suncoast ( panderson@automaxplus.com ) for only $13.26. Shipping was an additional $3.55.
