Guys, thanks for all the input ... I went outside at 4:20 and put on the other two lightweight rims, and drove the car. It feels fantastic ... probably because of the new P Zeros, but I'll kid myself it's the massive weight difference. Thanks for the support.

If anyone wants my factory 18" Turbo rims (non hollow spokes) I will sell them cheeaaaappp.

If you lower the car to at least ROW height, the MY'02 5 spokes will come alive, especially on the red cars. My vote is for the MY'02 5 spokes, mostly because many cars have the turbo wheels..FWIW

I don't particularly care for all the daylight you can see through the five spokes. I vote for the TTs. My favorites are the 3 piece Turbo wheels. I'd post a pics but I don't know how.

I'm obviously biased but as Chris said above, lowering the car will make the 5 spokes look awesome! Definitely keep the 5 spokes for your Guards Red beauty. When you decide to do Big Reds, they will even look better yet!

I guess you've decided, but I REALLY like the Turbo Twist ancient look on your car. I also like the supercups look (I think that's what their called, and yes, I know they're not part of the equation here, but I just LOVE that meaty look of the supercups).

Sweet car, great problem you have/had.

Enjoy the new wheels.

vic.....just curious.......where did you buy your lightweights?........BTW , you made the right choice....as an added benefit you'll find it much easier to clean these wheels, inside and out, as well as the calipers, w/o removing them........mik

Twists totally blow! I mean look at the letf side, then the right side. They twist in different directions. How do you know if you're comming or going?

I got them from Brandywine ... they had a set lingering around and gave me a reasonable price on them. I don't think they have any left, though; they have a high-polish set from the 40th Anniversary 996, but they were well over $3k.

Nobody wants these 18" Turbo rims? C'mon!

I guess you have gotten the answer to your question - about an even split! Personally, I like the thin straight look over the turbo twists. I think the funny part is how everyone went after your ride height even after you made note of it in the opening of the thread. Rennlisters definitely have their priorities when it comes to mods!

Why decide? Twists on the front, 5-spoke on the back! Pimpin'!!

No really, I like the Turbo Twists better. But if there is a serious weight advantage with the 5-spoke, that might be plenty of justification to keep the 5-spoke regardless of appearance preference.
